When you're tackling a challenging descent, the last thing you want to worry about is whether your helmet will provide enough protection. On the other hand, wearing a full-face helmet on every trail ride is not practical. Together with the creators of MIPS, we developed MIPS SL – an ultra-lightweight and extremely comfortable version. MIPS SL essentially integrates MIPS technology into the helmet's padding itself. The minimalist retention system allows for 10 to 15 mm of rotation in every direction, offering the same protective benefits as other MIPS systems, while being very light and comfortable.
The extensive coverage of the Ambush is made of expanded EPS material with differentiated and optimized densities to manage impacts, internally reinforced by an Aramid web (Matrix). Even with this increased protection, the profile remains slim and comfortable.
The Mindset 360 Fit positioning system offers five height positions, while the integrated adjustment allows for fine 'on-the-fly' tuning. The Ambush with our 4th Dimension Cooling is also highly ventilated thanks to the large air intakes and vents, to prevent heatstroke on the hottest days. The visor with micro-adjustment includes a housing for DH-type goggles.
