The Rapide CL II wheels have much in common with the Rapide CLX II, at a more affordable price. To start, the same tubeless rims. Thanks to an algorithm used in modeling that calculates reaction times in the real world, we developed a front rim that reduces air resistance while simultaneously increasing stability in conditions of sudden crosswind gusts. The rear wheel is the last to be affected by the wind and is therefore designed to reduce turbulence. Since the rear wheel does not affect steering, the depth of the rear rim does not impact handling.
Le Rapide CL II are hand-assembled, featuring DT Swiss 350 hubs with a 36t Star Ratchet system and straight Competition Race spokes. This pair of reliable, durable, and high-performance wheels weighs 1590 grams. It is undeniable that the tubeless setup offers the advantages of lower rolling resistance, superior handling, and excellent puncture protection. Thanks to extensive engineering and testing, the Rapide CL wheels exceed current strength standards by almost twice and are very lightweight. The hook bead rim design (which allows reaching a pressure of 110 psi if that's what you want) ensures a perfect tire fit and easy installation.
