An extremely lightweight and packable windproof shell, with a close-fitting cut, breathable stretch panels, and allows you to use your favorite Castelli garments in various temperatures. If you’re like us, there’s a reason you no longer use your old-style windbreaker. With waterproof jackets like the Idro becoming lighter and more compact than ever, we realized it was time to reinvent a classic. In fact, the Aria jacket is very different from your old flapping jacket that neither protects you nor lets air through. This jacket is an incredibly lightweight layer that blocks the wind coming at you, allowing ample breathability thanks to the mesh side panels. But what you’ll really appreciate is how we used stretch panels on the back of the sleeves to make this jacket feel like a second skin: no flapping fabric, no fresh air circulating inside the jacket, it won’t feel like a throwback to the Armstrong era anymore. This jacket is light and warm enough to be worn throughout your ride in mild conditions, but if you want to take it off, it fits perfectly into a rear side pocket and takes up minimal space in your back pocket or saddle bag.
