The Epic World Cup is designed for XC racing, combining efficiency, control, and lightweight performance without compromise. Champion Christopher Blevins puts it this way: "This bike gives me everything I want from a hardtail, with the control and capability of a full-suspension." The frame and suspension development was fully integrated, featuring an innovative shock born from OLTRE four decades of experience in off-road racing.

Reference Frame:
The S-Works FACT 12m carbon frame with WCID design ensures maximum power transfer and precise handling. The double-diamond layout, the most advanced in Specialized history, integrates the shock as a structural element, ensuring torsional and bottom-bracket stiffness.

Efficient Suspension:
Thanks to Ride Dynamics technology developed for the Epic World Cup, the RockShox SID Deluxe WCID shock with independent positive and negative air springs offers the responsiveness of a hardtail combined with the control of a full suspension. The SID SL BRAIN fork distinguishes between terrain inputs and rider inputs, ensuring efficient pedaling without the need for levers or lock-outs.

Travel and Control:
The 75 mm of rear travel behaves like 100 mm thanks to optimized air volumes and damping characteristics. The MegaJounce bumper supports the most violent impacts, while the BRAIN system provides intelligent, position-sensitive absorption.

Lightweight and Handling:
At just 1765 g for the frame (painted and including shock), the Epic World Cup is the lightest hardtail on the market. Explosive accelerations, efficient climbs, and superior handling come from the combination of lightness and stiffness achieved through carbon lay-up techniques learned from the Aethos.
