When Specialized began developing the S-Works Turbo RapidAir tires in collaboration with Deceuninck–Quick-Step, they set ambitious goals: to create an all-round tire that was the lightest, fastest, and most puncture-resistant, without sacrificing the ride quality of tubulars. After years of research and numerous tests, the result is a tire that, once tried, will make tubulars obsolete.
The new design is the result of intensive work in the laboratories, featuring a flexible central structure that adapts to road imperfections, reducing rolling resistance. The GRIPTON® compound offers speed and excellent cornering traction. The wide tread and stable sidewalls ensure precise handling, allowing you to take curves at high speed. Additionally, the BlackBelt™ puncture protection is cut-resistant and, although punctures are rare, in the event of one, the new sealant repairs it almost instantly.
The RapidAir tires are compatible with tubeless-ready rims and can generally be easily inflated with a floor pump.
