The M5 aluminum frame is robust and ready to withstand the hardest impacts. The alloy wheels, resilient suspension, powerful brakes, and reliable drivetrain complete a package designed for those who don't focus on weight, but seek solidity, control, and fun on trails and in bike parks.
Ride Dynamics Tuning
The SPECIALIZED Ride Dynamics team developed the suspension kinematics and refined the geometry to achieve a responsive, lively, and precise bike. The result is a mountain bike capable on both technical singletrack and lines with jumps, drops, and urban obstacles.
Adjustable Geometry with Flip Chip
Every Status 2 model is equipped with flip chips positioned on the Horst pivot near the rear axle. This system allows you to adjust the frame geometry based on the terrain or riding style. In the low position, the bottom bracket drops by 8 mm and the head tube angle slackens by half a degree, improving stability and control on the most demanding descents.
