Together, they tell the story of Bianchi and Marco Pantani.

In the year of Bianchi's 140th anniversary, we decided to celebrate one of the greatest champions in our history. To do so, we chose to bring back on the new Specialissima RC the legendary livery of the Bianchi Mega Pro XL used by Pantani to achieve the stunning Giro-Tour double in 1998.

LIMITED EDITION

This special edition consists of 215 exclusive models, celebrating the same number of kilometers as the 17th stage of the 1998 Giro d’Italia. A stage finishing in Selva di Val Gardena, won by the Italian Beppe “Turbo” Guerini, which has gone down in history. On that occasion, Marco took the lead in the general classification, wearing the Maglia Rosa and winning his first Giro four days later.


The initial run included 101 models, the same as the race number worn by Pantani in the 1998 Giro, but the enthusiasm shown by cycling fans all over the world led us to extend the availability of the Specialissima RC Pantani to more supporters.

Each frame is numbered on the upper part of the down tube, clearly visible next to the junction with the head tube, making this collector’s model even more valuable. It will be delivered to the privileged owners along with an exclusive and unique kit that includes:

BANDANA: a reproduction of the iconic headwear of the Pirate, worn at the start of every stage and, according to legend, thrown to the ground before beginning the intense mountain battles

REPLICA JERSEY: a new jersey, produced by Santini, that gives a modern twist to the yellow and celeste race kit worn by Marco Pantani and his teammates during the 1998 season.
