The Shimano BP-J05A-RF Ice-Tech resin brake pads are designed to deliver quiet, controllable, and long-lasting braking on Shimano 2-piston braking systems. Thanks to the fifth-generation resin compound, these pads guarantee high braking modulation and reduced noise compared to metallic pads, improving bike control in every condition.
The new optimized friction material significantly increases wear resistance: up to 50% more than the J03A model and up to 110% more than the previous J02A. This allows for greater pad longevity and consistent performance even after prolonged use.
The Shimano J05A-RF pads integrate Shimano Ice Technologies with cooling fins, designed to effectively dissipate heat during intense and prolonged braking. This system reduces the risk of overheating and brake power fade, improving the efficiency and lifespan of the entire braking system.
The rear backing plate alloy contributes to heat dissipation and structural rigidity, while the J-type (narrow) shape is designed for Shimano 2-piston brake calipers used on numerous MTB and trekking models.
