The Shimano BP-L05A-RF Ice-Tech resin brake pads are designed to provide quiet, controllable, and long-lasting braking for road, gravel, and trekking bikes equipped with Shimano 2-piston disc brakes. Thanks to the fifth-generation resin compound, these pads guarantee very precise braking modulation and a significant reduction in noise compared to metallic pads.
The new optimized friction material significantly improves wear resistance: up to 50% more than the previous L03A and up to 110% more than the L02A. This results in longer pad life and consistent performance even after many kilometers.
The Shimano BP-L05A-RF also integrates Ice Technologies with a cooling fin, designed to effectively dissipate heat during intense and prolonged braking. The result is a reduced risk of fade and greater braking power stability.
The alloy backing plate further contributes to heat dissipation and structural rigidity, while the L-type (narrow) shape is designed for Shimano 2-piston disc brake calipers, used on numerous Shimano road and gravel groupsets.
