INTEGRATED SPECIALIZED COCKPIT HANDLEBAR ROVAL RAPIDE FLARE

The new Roval Rapide cockpit represents far more than a simple aerodynamic update: it is the fastest integrated system ever developed by Roval. Designed to deliver the maximum advantage in competition, it combines aerodynamics, lightness, and stiffness into a single monocoque solution, without compromise.

Thanks to the elimination of the junction points between the stem and handlebar, Roval engineers were able to develop an extremely efficient airfoil profile, capable of reducing aerodynamic drag and guaranteeing a saving of up to 4 watts compared to traditional configurations. A figure that, in real race conditions, can translate into a concrete advantage, such as approximately 32 cm in a final 250-meter sprint.

The high-modulus carbon fiber construction ensures an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio, making the cockpit ideal even for the most powerful athletes. Compared to the combination of a Rapide handlebar and Tarmac stem, the integrated system also allows for a saving of approximately 50 grams, further improving the bike's overall performance.

Great attention was also dedicated to the riding position. In collaboration with Retül Fit technicians and professional athletes, Roval developed a range of 15 combinations of widths and lengths, all with a -6° tilt, to suit the majority of cyclists. The curvature has been optimized to guarantee comfort and freedom of wrist movement both during out-of-the-saddle efforts and in the most aerodynamic positions, while the reach and drop follow the most appreciated geometries of the Rapide handlebar.

Compatible with the main Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo groupsets (including internal cable routing and electronic), the Roval Rapide cockpit also integrates dedicated cycle-computer support, maintaining a clean and functional aesthetic.

Designed for the racing world, but also suitable for high-performance gravel use, it represents an ideal choice for those seeking the maximum in terms of speed, integration, and performance.

Technical Features:

Made from high-modulus carbon fiber, the cockpit has a weight of approximately 307 grams in the 100 mm x 400 mm configuration, with a maximum load limit of 125 kg.

It is available in various widths, from 380 to 440 mm (measured at the controls), with a slight 4° flare in the lower section to improve control and stability. The reach is 75 mm and the drop is 125 mm, values designed to guarantee a balanced position between comfort and performance.

Stem lengths vary approximately from 75 mm to 135 mm based on the chosen width, with a -10° tilt. The cockpit is not compatible with clip-on extensions.

Includes integrated mount for Roval cycle computer (code S219900058), top cap and steerer tube bolt. It is also compatible with transition spacers for the Specialized Tarmac SL7 and SL8.
