Starting from the winning foundation of the Epic 8, Specialized worked to further lighten the structure and optimize the bike's dynamic behavior. The result is an even more responsive, more efficient, and faster platform, designed to convert every watt produced by the rider into real speed on the trail. The 11% reduction in suspension friction and the refinement of the kinematics allow for an even smoother and more rewarding performance, both in accelerations and technical sections.

The FACT 11m carbon frame with Progressive XC Race geometry was developed to deliver precise, modern, and balanced handling, perfect for the demands of contemporary XC racing. The Rider-First Engineered approach ensures consistent response across different frame sizes, while 120 mm of travel allows you to tackle technical trails, flowing descents, and rough sections with more confidence and speed, without sacrificing the pedaling efficiency typical of a race bike.

The suspension system consists of a 120 mm RockShox SID Select+ fork and a RockShox SIDLuxe Select+ rear shock with TwistLoc remote control, both developed with Ride Dynamics. This setup guarantees an excellent balance of support, sensitivity, and absorption capability, making the Epic 9 Expert extremely effective both on climbs and in more guided, technical sections.

The SRAM GX Eagle AXS Transmission drivetrain completes a platform designed for modern racing, with precise, solid, and reliable wireless shifting even under load. The 10-52T cassette offers a very wide range, ideal for tackling steep climbs and fast sections with maximum versatility, while the SRAM GX Eagle DUB crankset ensures efficiency and robustness.

The SRAM Motive Bronze 4-piston braking system, with a 180 mm rotor at the front and 160 mm at the rear, delivers powerful and controllable braking, very useful on modern XC courses where average speeds increase and downhill control becomes increasingly important. The Roval Control SL V carbon wheels with a 29 mm internal channel and DT Swiss 370 hubs offer an excellent mix of lightness, stiffness, and reliability, contributing to a responsive, precise, and fast ride.
