Description

PZERO Race 4S TLR is our first 4-season racing tire with tubeless technology capable of providing high grip in all weather conditions and greater puncture protection, while maintaining the characteristics of a racing tire from our PZERO Race range. This result was achieved thanks to the combination of SPEEDCORE tubeless technology, our latest evolution in casing design, and SMARTNET Silica, which has the best formulation for wet grip and chemical traction among our compounds. Like the rest of the PZERO Race range, the PZERO Race 4S TLR is also made in Italy at our new factory in Bollate.

Mix

Directly from its experience and know-how in Motorsport, Pirelli introduces into cycling a patented race formulation, capable of guaranteeing maximum grip and smoothness on both dry and wet surfaces. The elongated shape of the Silica molecules, unlike the commonly used spherical molecular shape of silica, allows for a new level of sophistication in the tread compound, resulting in improved handling thanks to the ability to orient the compound in the direction of rolling. Furthermore, the enhancement of the tread's mechanical resistance achieved through the improved interaction of Silica with other components (such as aramid fibers directly dispersed in the compound) increases puncture protection and tire durability.

Structure

SpeedCORE™ is a tubeless-ready structure developed by Pirelli (Patent pending) for our high-performance cycling tires, representing our most advanced TLR technology to date. It derives from Pirelli's automotive experience and is made possible also thanks to our new production plant in Italy, near the headquarters in Milan. The SpeedCORE™ construction consists of a thin, waterproof layer of rubber compound infused with aramid particles. This layer covers the inner part of the tire and, thanks to the presence of aramid in the rubber compound, allows for better mechanical resistance, improved air retention, and greater overall flexibility: all contributing to the tire's overall performance.
