The Specialized Epic 9 Sport represents the evolution of OLTRE twenty years of experience in cross-country racing. A dual-suspension mountain bike designed to deliver speed, lightness, and efficiency at the highest levels, both in competition and during the most demanding XC rides.

Building on the already acclaimed Epic 8, Specialized has developed an even lighter and smoother platform, eliminating every superfluous element and reducing the overall weight of the frame. The result is an extremely responsive bike, capable of transforming every watt the rider produces into acceleration and speed.

Reduced suspension friction and optimized kinematics further improve small-bump sensitivity, traction, and pedaling efficiency. The Epic 9 remains composed and stable on technical sections without sacrificing the quickness needed on climbs, accelerations, and sprints.

FACT 11m frame with 120 mm of travel

The FACT 11m carbon frame combines lightness, stiffness, and steering precision. The Progressive XC Race geometry was developed to deliver great climbing efficiency and greater control on the most modern technical trails.

The Rider-First Engineered™ construction ensures balanced behavior in every size, while the 120 mm of rear travel allows you to tackle roots, rocks, and rough descents with greater speed and confidence.

The frame also features a threaded bottom bracket, internal cable routing, a UDH-compatible rear derailleur hanger, and is optimized for wireless electronic drivetrains.

RockShox Suspension

The 120 mm RockShox Reba fork, equipped with a Motion Control cartridge, offers steering precision and effective bump absorption.

At the rear, the RockShox SIDLuxe Select+ shock features a tune developed with Ride Dynamics and a three-position adjustment. This configuration allows you to quickly adapt the suspension's behavior to climbs, pedaling sections, and the most technical descents.

SRAM Eagle AXS Electronic Drivetrain

The 12-speed SRAM S1000 Eagle AXS drivetrain ensures fast, precise, and fully wireless shifting.

The 10-52 tooth cassette offers a wide gear range, ideal for tackling steep climbs and fast sections. The SRAM AXS Pod controller allows intuitive shifting management, while the SRAM Eagle 70 crankset with a 32-tooth chainring ensures efficiency and reliability.

SRAM DB4 Brakes

SRAM DB4 hydraulic brakes with four-piston calipers offer power and control even on the steepest and most technical sections.

The 180 mm front rotor ensures decisive, modulated braking, while the 160 mm rear rotor helps keep weight down without sacrificing safety.

29" tubeless ready wheels

Specialized 29" alloy wheels with a 27 mm internal width ensure strength, precision, and good rolling efficiency. The rims are tubeless-ready.

The Specialized Fast Trak Flex Lite T5/T7 front tire offers directionality and speed, while the Specialized Air Trak Flex Lite T5/T7 rear tire guarantees traction and efficiency on typical cross-country terrain.

Telescopic seatpost

The TranzX telescopic seatpost allows you to quickly lower the saddle during descents and technical passages, improving freedom of movement and control.

Travel varies based on frame size:
