Flagship GTX, the shoe that represents the top of our winter collection, was created to celebrate 15 years of collaboration between Northwave and Gore-Tex®, two brands that represent true excellence in developing solutions that defy the cold. Northwave has always challenged the cold with its winter footwear, thanks to the know-how gained after years of designing snowboard boots. It is a field we have strongly wanted to explore until becoming unique in the winter cycling shoes landscape, with as many as 8 different models in the collection equipped with Gore-Tex membrane. Relentless research, openness, and careful attention to new frontiers in material innovation are imperative in our team. Presenting a better model every year? It is a challenge we set for ourselves that pushes us to always do better, much like when we pedal. The Duratherm Kelvin lining offers the best thermal insulation in the Gore-Tex range, ensuring breathability and protection from the elements. The Easyfit collar, thanks to the characteristic qualities of neoprene, guarantees mobility and protection from the instep to the ankle. The “overlap” structure of the upper evenly distributes closure pressure and helps transfer every watt of power during pedaling. The full carbon sole, the new addition to the winter collection, is Hyperlight XC, 100% unidirectional carbon with a stiffness index of 14.0 that combines rigidity and lightness. Not one but two dials. The SLW2 closure, Northwave’s flagship, is the only one with a gradual step-by-step release that allows millimetric fit adjustments during use, even when wearing winter gloves.
