The new Specialized Epic 8 represents the evolution of the concept of speed in modern cross-country, where pedaling efficiency, obstacle absorption capability, and lightness must coexist without compromise. Today's XC trails are increasingly technical and demanding, and for this reason, the Epic 8 introduces a completely revised suspension kinematics, capable of offering even more efficient pedaling without sacrificing control and comfort.

Thanks to the specifically calibrated Ride Dynamics shock absorbers, the bike is capable of absorbing impacts and vibrations extremely effectively, reducing rider fatigue and allowing a high pace to be maintained even on the roughest sections. The result is a race-ready full-suspension bike that combines responsiveness, stability, and absolute performance: a true 'wolf in sheep's clothing'.

With 120 mm of travel and a progressive geometry, the Epic 8 is far more capable on technical trails than the previous generation. It remains extremely fast on climbs, highly efficient in pedaling, and ready to sprint with every acceleration, while the high torsional and lateral stiffness ensures precision and control in every situation.

Compared to the previous model, the new suspension platform absorbs 12% more impact forces and vibrations, improving comfort and reducing fatigue. At the same time, the optimization of the kinematics has reduced unwanted movement during pedaling by 20%, while keeping the suspension active to best manage impacts. The result is the most efficient dual-suspension XC bike ever created by Specialized.

Despite its superior performance, the Epic 8 does not gain weight: all models now include the integrated SWAT 4.0 storage compartment and a headset top cap to protect the frame in case of falls, maintaining an extremely competitive overall weight. The S-Works Epic 8 frame, in particular, is even 76 grams lighter than the previous generation.
