The S-Works TT 5 helmet is a perfect example of our "Made in Racing" approach. Remco Evenepoel and Kasper Asgreen from the Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl team dedicated countless hours in our Win Tunnel, ultimately developing the fastest time trial helmet we have ever made.
Using CFD modeling, the team redesigned the rear part of the TT helmet to position it closer to the cyclist's shoulders, reducing air vortices that create drag.
The S-Works TT 5 helmet features a Class 1 optical visor, eliminating distractions and providing a clear view of the road, unlike traditional lenses usually made of clear plastic. The visor has a hydrophobic coating to repel water in bad weather and a high-quality anti-fog treatment (EN166).
The adjustment at the base of the skull optimizes comfort by adapting to the shape of the head, while the helmet's angle can be adjusted for compatibility with glasses. The adjustable Tri-Fix system offers greater comfort thanks to thin 10 mm straps that reduce noise.
Our ultralight and comfortable MIPS Node Air technology is integrated directly into the helmet padding: a low-friction layer designed to deflect rotational forces. Thanks to Specialized's development work, we have added perforations to maximize ventilation, enhancing performance, comfort, and weight reduction.
For helmets sold in the United States and Canada: compliant with CPSC safety standards for bicycle helmets for persons aged 5 and up.
