Alvento Pages is the book series by Alvento Italian Cycling Magazine. It made its debut in November 2021, with the translation of Only , the biography of Thomas De Gendt, written by the Flemish journalist Jonas Heyerick, and in 2022 it was enriched with as many as seven other titles. There is a biographical and a literary series, which will be gradually enriched with new proposals.
Alvento Pageswas created to offer readers who, over these three years, have come to understand the ways, timing, and storytelling styles of the magazine, an additional opportunity to enjoy the content: that of the book.
To many stories told in the pages of the magazine, we would have liked to dedicate a mileage longer lasting. Some of them could even have constituted the embryo of a more extensive and articulated narrative. But, as you can imagine, writing an article is to composing a book as running a Classic is to tackling a Grand Tour. So we too prepared ourselves to keep goingthe three-week stepand to think, design, and create products that require months and months of development.
For this reason, from now on, in addition to completing the inaugural publication of the series, we are focused on preparing the 2022 editorial plan which, OLTRE acquired and translated titles from the foreign market, includes the creation of original books with the involvement of the best Italian authors in the field of cycling literature.
As always, we will tell stories – biographies, reconstructions of great achievements from the past and present, reenactments and/or descriptions of places with a specific cycling identity – and we will try to make different worlds interact: certainly, the passion for the bicycle and cycling will be the main focus of this editorial project, but we will not hesitate to use it to tell other stories, within the framework of sport and the broader context of the world and other passions.
