The Princeton Carbonworks GRIT 4540 wheels were designed from the ground up to recalibrate your expectations from an all-road carbon wheelset. Lightweight? Done. Incredible stiffness? Check. Versatile, snappy, fast, stable? Always. Ideal for climbing and all road use OR gravel/CX (mixed terrain, gravel, cyclocross). How do we do it? Drawing experience from the 6560, Princeton launched the GRIT with a variable-depth sinusoidal cross-section, for crosswind stability without equal.

They also introduced a slightly variable profile width and an optimized carbon layup, focusing on high-stress areas. The Nipple bed was completely redesigned to provide greater carbon thickness in that zone, removing material where it's not needed. 21 mm hook to hook and 29.9 mm at the widest point. Top-tier stuff? Try a uniform, pothole-free bed. By removing holes from the tire bed, the wheel becomes incredibly stiff (holes + carbon are not best friends). This allowed the tire bed to be made thinner (lighter) while providing greater rim stiffness (stronger). Oh yes, no more tubeless tape (YOU'RE WELCOME). The GRIT 4540.
