They also introduced a slightly variable rim width and an optimized carbon layup, focusing on high-stress areas. The Nipple bed was completely redesigned to provide greater carbon thickness in that area, removing material where it is not needed. 21 mm hook for hooking and 29.9 mm at the widest point. Top-level stuff? Try a smooth, bump-free platform. By removing the holes from the tire bed, the wheel becomes incredibly stiff (holes + carbon are not best friends). This allowed the tire bed to be made thinner (lighter) while providing greater rim stiffness (more durable). Oh yes, no more tubeless tape (YOU'RE WELCOME). The GRIT 4540.
