With the introduction of new and more versatile disciplines in the "road" category, the Fulcrum engineering team faced a unique challenge: ensuring that the wheel models maintained performance and speed characteristics across a wide range of conditions. After focusing on wheels with extremely specific settings for road or MTB use, the Fulcrum engineers collaborated to develop a solution that combined the know-how of both disciplines, aiming to create excellent wheels capable of tackling any kind of off-road trail. The result of this engineering collaboration is an extraordinarily versatile wheel model, delivering performance that meets the needs of those who do not favor a specific type of terrain.

Fulcrum is proud to present the Rapid Red wheel line, a low-profile solution for cyclists who do not want to be confined to a single discipline. The Rapid Red wheels do not belong to a single category, as they are ideal for mixed surfaces tackled by cyclists who want it all. Their 23 mm internal channel is perfectly compatible with 32 mm - 46 mm (700c) / 40 mm - 60 mm (650B) tires, and the 2-Way Fit Ready structure allows for mounting both tubeless tires and clinchers. Since B-Road cycling focuses on versatility, the Rapid Red wheel versions offer a wide variety of tires (tubeless or clinchers) in different types and sizes, as well as the option to choose between 700c and 650B formats, ensuring perfect tuning and compatibility regardless of each cyclist's personal preferences. Whether it's long road distances, mixed surfaces, or situations closer to "road plus" that require larger tires with better grip, all cyclists will find the most suitable solution for their needs—or, to be precise, the most suitable solutions among those offered by the Rapid Red range.

The wheel models specific for disc brakes adopt an AFS standard and ensure the same high level of reliability that cyclists expect from Fulcrum wheels for both road and off-road use. The sturdy aluminum rims with a low profile measure only 24 mm both front and rear and, considering also the 24 steel spokes and lightweight aluminum hubs, register a decidedly respectable weight. Despite the weight efficiency, the wheels are robust enough to fall into the ASTM 2 category, thanks to the proven manufacturing quality of Fulcrum that characterizes the specific designs applied to the new overall Rapid Red structure.
