With the new Alpinist CL II wheels, you'll feel your bike 'come alive,' thanks to the ultra-light clincher rims and the tubeless system. They offer durability similar to MTB rims and a design that takes advantage of the reduced mass of the rim and spokes.
Le Alpinist CL II use the same rim as the Alpinist CLX II. A slight increase in the power applied to the pedals results in immediate acceleration, allowing you to trace a perfect line in corners, while at the same time exceeding the resistance standards of any certification institute by nearly twice. A pair of tubeless wheels weighing 1375 grams and built to a quality suitable for pressures used in all types of races.
The components of the Alpinist CL II have been selected for reliability and availability, featuring DT Swiss 350 hubs with Star Ratchet system, easy to maintain, 24 straight DT Swiss CompRace spokes, Pro Lock alloy nipples.
The reduced rolling resistance of the tubeless system is undeniable, as are the advantages in terms of handling and better protection against punctures. For the development, we undertook an intensive engineering and testing program. The result is a rim with a bead that allows pressures up to 110psi and easy tire installation.
