Troy Brosnan was looking for a “unicorn” tyre: fast on the straight but capable of providing support and confidence in corners at World Cup speeds. Starting from the tread designs of the Rekon, Minion DHF and High Roller II, Troy and our engineering team developed the Dissector during the 2018 World Cup season.

The center knobs feature a pronounced ramp that reduces rolling resistance while keeping flat, well-defined edges across their full height to ensure excellent braking traction. Small cuts on the knobs increase their flexibility, expanding the contact patch under braking and creating a smoother transition to the side knobs when cornering.

The side knobs, shaped like a “C”, are alternately oriented toward the center and the outside of the tyre. This layout reduces uncertain zones when entering a corner and ensures consistent support on the shoulders. Finally, the well-defined channel along the sides of the center knobs and the wide overall spacing promote effective evacuation of mud and debris, maintaining high performance in all conditions.
